He who calls you is faithful and he will do it! (James 5:4)

Wish you all a Blessed 2013!

The garbage side:

Through the money that came in last year we bought food for the people who live at the garbage side. Now they have some extra rice and fish to eat. Many of the people who live on the garbage side use alcohol and / or drugs. It's the Lord Jesus who has compassion over these people and want to help them. For Him are things possible if they also wanted to be helped. Often there are children with (burn) wounds or infections on their body. Together with a doctor and nurses we try to help where we can.

We are now halfway through our stay in Guinea. Around May/June we will sail back to the Canaries for our annual ship maintenance and inspections. Also there will be done some modifications to the ship so that we can work more efficiently in the future.

News: During the Christmas holidays i have been in the Netherlands and England. Why England you might be wondering? Carolyn is her name! A few months ago i met this lovely lady on the ship and we liked each other very much. So then there is only one thing to do: Visit her in England! We had a wonderful time in England and in the Netherlands together. She will come back to the ship soon!

I want to thank you all for the support that I received last year and all the cards and letters, gifts and prayers!

Thank you!
Daniel Bastiaan.

Amen! Beautiful verse for this new year. He who called us to do greater things He did wil remain faithful even when we are not, for He cannot deny Himself. Commit your ways to the Lord, trust in Him and yes He will bring it to pass!

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. (Phil.1:9-11) Be blessed..
